Welcome to our brand-new, stylishly furnished studio in the peaceful town of Purmerend – just 20 minutes from Amsterdam! The studio was completely renovated in August 2025 and offers everything you need for a comfortable stay, whether you’re traveling for leisure or work. You have your own private entrance and can check in independently via a key safe if desired. Inside, you’ll find a luxurious queen-size bed (160x200) that can easily be stored away, revealing a spacious dining table for four – perfect for working or enjoying a meal together. The kitchen is fully equipped with an induction cooktop, combination oven-microwave, refrigerator with freezer compartment, Nespresso machine, kettle, and all the essentials for cooking your own meals. The modern bathroom features a rain shower, washbasin, mirrored cabinet, and toilet. Extra comfort? Air conditioning (hot & cold), underfloor heating, and a smart TV ensure you’ll feel right at home. Within walking distance, you’ll find a shopping center (supermarkets, market stalls, bakery, fishmonger) and bus stops with fast connections to Amsterdam Central Station and the North/South metro line. There are also excellent connections to Schiphol Airport (direct connection), the Zaanse Schans, Volendam, Edam, the Beemster UNESCO World Heritage site, Alkmaar, and many other great destinations for day trips. Free parking is available right outside. Bicycle rental and taxi/pick-up services are available on request.

After taking a break from hosting for a while, we’re back! This time with a fully renovated studio apartment (August 2025). We are Rob (he/him) and April (she/her), born and raised in Amsterdam and together for 24 years. We work in the same building as the studio apartment. Rob is a physiotherapist/sports care therapist, and April is a sports massage therapist. Together, we run a massage practice called Rob Holt Sports Massage. We love traveling and often stay in apartments via Booking and other platforms. What we always appreciated most was the feeling of being truly welcome in someone’s home. That’s exactly what we now want to offer travelers in our studio apartment near Amsterdam. You are most welcome!

It’s a wonderful neighborhood to unwind after a busy day in Amsterdam. Here, you’ll be staying among the locals. Of course, Amsterdam city center offers many great places to eat. Prefer dining closer to home? With its charming cafés, tasty restaurants, and lively terraces, the Koemarkt offers a wide range of dining and nightlife options. The Koemarkt is within walking distance (1.5 km). Van Damplein shopping center is just a 5-minute walk away. Here you’ll find two supermarkets, Vomar and Albert Heijn, as well as plenty of other shops such as a fresh bakery, butcher, fishmonger, tobacco shop, and drugstore. All major attractions such as the Zaanse Schans, Volendam, Edam, and Alkmaar are also easily accessible from the studio.
