Located in Rasuwa district Gatlang village is one of the hidden areas of Himalayan kingdom a few hours ride from Kathmandu (capital city) or few hours walk from syafrubesi(a junction between Tamang heritage trail trek and langtang trail) . Therefore, Following the development of Tamang Heritage Trail by the Tourism for Rural Poverty Alleviation Program (TRPAP) aimed to help communities by developing sustainable tourism to create income . In 2005 AD, we felt the need to establish a teahouse in order to provide visitors with basic facilities which also involves locals through homestays, cultural experiences, traditional attire and the sales of local handicrafts, allowing benefits from tourism while preserving the culture . Initially started as a homestay project, we were later approached by the TRPAP to develop it into a guest house. Since we were financially unable to construct the guesthouse on our own, the TRPAP agreed to fund the construction and provided us the needed financial assistance.
