A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it’s home to numerous temples, courtyards, and the ancient Royal Palace. Notable buildings include the Hari Shankar Temple, Mahendreshwar Temple, and the Jagatnarayan Temple. The square also hosts many small shrines, each with its own story, and is a great place to explore the unique Newar architecture. Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar) Location: A short walk from Patan Durbar Square. Description: This Buddhist monastery is famous for its golden façade and intricate carvings. With blend of modern and traditional architecture style this property gives you an awesome stay experiencing the traditional culture in one of the ancient community of Patan with due respect to your comfort.

And the folks who live here, like us, belong to the Newari community. They're the ones who have their own special traditions and ways of doing things that make our neighborhood feel like home. There is many famous historic places in our neighborhood. Where Mahabaudhha is one of them. Located in the heart of Patan, the Mahabouddha Temple is one of the most distinctive and significant religious landmarks in the Kathmandu Valley. This beautiful temple is dedicated to Lord Buddha and is often referred to as the "Temple of a Thousand Buddhas" due to the unique architectural style and the intricate design of its bricks.
