A modernized Kiwi Villa with loads of charm is where you can relax in our lovely corner of the world. We welcome you to enjoy the fantastic views of Mt Taranaki from our deck and garden. Close to the town center, we welcome all visitors to our home in this amazing region, be it for business or pleasure, and will do our best to ensure that you will have a comfortable stay while respecting your privacy. Sam, our Belgian Shepherd also lives here, although very vocal when greeting guests - it is his way of saying hello. He looks like a big black woolf, but looks are deceptive!! he loves people and the attention he attracts.

Having moved away from Auckland to live in Hawera, on the amazing West Coast of Taranaki .........(New Zealand's best-kept secret!!) James and I (Gillian) wanted to create a place where visitors would enjoy staying during their travels. We love meeting people of different cultures as well as New Zealanders from other parts of NZ - enjoying walks with our dog Sam, getting together with family, music, going to the movies, Indian food (Japanese, Chinese, Italian and Fish n Chips......to name just a few food types), traveling and life in general : ) We are new in the hospitality business and became operational in 2018.

There are many places of interest within an hours radius. Locally, visit King Edward Park, a beautiful park With lovely gardens, a lake and great playground area for children. Near the Lake is a statue of the character, " Wendy Darling" from Peter Pan, by JM Barrie. There are BBQ tables with bench seats - ideal for a nice picnic. Next Door is the Hawera Aquatic Centre, open all year round and has a 25 m indoor heated and learners pool , also a 50 m outdoor pool, toddlers’ splash park, thermal pool, and hydro-slide. Hawera has two supermarkets, cafes with great coffee and food, restaurants and sports bars. Take in a movie at Hawera Cinema, which has two theaters with comfortable standard and deluxe seating. For the adventurous climb the 215 steps of the Hawera Water Tower to enjoy amazing views. There are Enjoyable walks within a 10 to 45 mins drive from Fossil Coast B & B - the new coastal walk to Waihi Beach, which is stunning and rugged. Lake Rotokare, 12 Kms east of Eltham - walk around the lake while admiring native flora and bird life. Golfing enthusiasts will enjoy the scenery from the excellent local golf clubS within half hours drive.
