Make your visit to Dunedin memorable at one of the iconic buildings of the city. This newly restored and fully self-contained guest suite was originally the old Opoho Hotel in the 1880s, then the Opoho store from 1904, and a 'Four Square' store from the 1980s. The building has three levels and the guest suite comprises the entire ground floor which has been newly restored. The suite layout consists of a private lounge with a king single bed, a spacious bathroom, kitchenette and a queen sized bed on the cosy mezzanine up the winding staircase. There are honeycomb blinds, which open from the bottom or top depending if you want light, the view or both. A new Fujitsu heat pump provides plenty of heating or cooling for Dunedin's diverse climate. A ceiling fan circulates air throughout the 4.5 metre-high original rimu ceilings and mezzanine. Please note there is no full kitchen, however we do provide microwave, fridge, kettle, benchtop sandwich press, and toaster.

Kia ora! I am Cherry, a former international cabin crew who loves meeting people from locally or all around the world. I currently work at the University of Otago and live for tasty Thai (and other!) cuisine, fashion, and fun with family. I have a tabby cat, named Ferguson. He likes to wait for me to come back from work by the side gate and give me a big meow to welcome me home. He's friendly and cute so if you see him around he may come and say hi to you.

Opoho is a very safe and peaceful neighborhood with plenty of parking space so you can rest assured when parking on the street. Buses depart from directly outside and it is only a few minutes walk to the botanic gardens. The stadium and university are 2km away. It is 1 km to New World supermarket, 2.5km to Otago Museum, 2.7km to Dunedin Hospital and 4km to Dunedin City centre.
