Welcome to 'Petersville Village' at Hidden Valley Farm. Get away from it all in our quirky off-grid cottages! Nestled in hillside meadows on the top of Takaka Hill in Tasman Bay. Situated in a private countryside location overlooking views of Tasman Bay. Rustic, cosy, comfortable and a unique space for an escape to rejuvenate. Listen to the birds, take a walk, enjoy the wildlife and farm animals roaming around the 400 acres of blissful paradise. "High Country Living?" with an outback experience enhanced by the free roaming horses and impeccable Tasman Bay views. Escape the chaos and embrace the calm and simplicity with minimal modern tech, open flame fireside, chat under the immortal starry skies. The accommodation price is with guests supplying their own bedding and bath towels (we provide bottom sheets, pillow cases & hand towels), all beds also have mattress protectors. Due to being off-grid we have to wash bedding off-site which incurs an extra charge. However, if you are unable to supply your own bedding & towels you are welcome to hire from us at a small charge. The water is supplied from a mountain stream and, while great for showers and general washing up, it is not recommended for drinking without boiling. We suggest bringing bottled water for your stay. If you are looking for somewhere to watch the TV, play video games, use any electronics for entertainment, this is defineatly not for you. However, if you want to get away from it all and have a few days of rest and relaxation, listen to the sounds of nature and watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets, you are perfect for this holiday. With 400 acres of superb open moorland, huge tracts of native bush, streams and farm animals there is plenty to do. This is not just a stay - it's an experience!

Welcome to our 'Haven for all Hearts'. Terri & Jim are very passionate about their off-grid farm lifestyle living and enjoy sharing it with others. They have many farm animals roaming freely on the 400 acres which include cows, horses, miniature ponies, alpaca, pig, sheep, goats, peacocks, ducks, turkeys and chickens. They enjoy taking a walk to the hidden valley and taking a dip in the swimming hole. Guests are most welcome to enjoy this area also.

It's the perfect location to access the Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks, Ngarua Caves, Harwoods Hole, beaches and townships all within a 30 minute drive and ideal for day trips to Golden Bay, Tasman Bay or Nelson. A true Kiwi experience, off the beaten track!
