Located on the water's edge, Long Bay Motor Camp is situated 2km from Coromandel Town, 41 km from Whitianga. Thames is 54 km away. Free private parking is available on site. Featuring a range of Cabins to suit everyone's budget, all accommodation is equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Some units feature a dining area and/or patio. There is also a kitchenette, fitted with a microwave, toaster, refrigerator and kettle. Long Bay Motor Camp also features a BBQ and a mini-market. Kayak and paddle board hire are available. Have only had the motor camp for 18 months, previously owned a motel which was number one on Trip Advisor for Coromandel Town for the time of ownership. We are about family and ensuring our guests have the best possible stay we could provide. Des is the nutty fisherman, if hes not cleaning toilets or doing rubbish he is on the water - so if you need to know anything about fishing talk to him. I'm Leanne and I am usually running the shop and bookings and picking up after Des and he reckons we have a clean fairy in the house hmmmmm.

Coromandel Town is one of the prettiest towns in New Zealand. Its yesteryear and its where you want to retire to relax. The community groups are amazing from the walkers to the embroiders to the quiz nights. Many wonderful local attractions, Driving Creek Railway, The Water Works, Gold Stamper Battery, 309 Road, New Chums Beach, Coastal Walkway, and The Fishing. Coromandel is one of the biggest producers of the Green Lipped Mussel. Coromandel is a great place to base yourself to do the Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach.
