A unique and cozy hideaway to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Fox Glacier. Tastefully decorated in a vintage style theme, enjoy a drink in your own private garden and be entertained by our farm animals. An idyllic spot for honeymooners and solo travelers nestled near the base of the Southern Alps as part of Rocky Creek - a 100-acre farm. Continental breakfast is included. The space features a Queen bed, a private ensuite, a kitchenette and a porch. The Shepherd's Hut has a lovely private garden and farmland valley outlook and you can catch an exceptional West Coast sunset from the porch. It is located within walking distance to the Fox Glacier town center, close to bars, cafes and restaurants, guided tours and walks.
John is a 4th generation West Coaster and has a great knowledge of the area. Kirsty moved to Fox Glacier in 1994. John and Kirsty are passionate about the area and love to share their slice of paradise with travelers.
Fox Glacier is a very popular tourist attraction and many travel here just to explore the Fox Glacier. There are a multitude of hikes for all levels of adventure, mountain bike trails and great cafes, bars and restaurants. Visit the local beach, discover diverse wildlife and of course make sure to visit famous Lake Matheson!
