Rose Cottage is our family holiday home, and we are pleased to have the opportunity to share our bit of paradise with you. Rose Cottage is set in rural south Wairarapa, about 15 minutes drive from Featherston, Martinborough and a little more to Greytown - a perfect base for exploring the region. The house is on a large section with young fruit trees, a frog pond (partially fenced) and lots of room for kids and dogs to have fun (pets welcome by arrangement - please contact us). There is a trampoline, kids play house, and rope swing. The swimming pool is available during summer months (normally Labour weekend to Easter - but please check when booking with us) The house is well set up for large family groups with a range of living spaces and activities on offer. The kitchen is well equipped for family dinners and enthusiastic cooks, and opens to the indoor dining table area. There is a comfortable lounge area next to the fire place, and a separate seating area for quieter conversations or reading. A weber bbq is in the garage, along with ping pong table, darts and foozeball. The enclosed verandah has a large outdoor dinning space and casual seating - and gives a great sunset view of the mountains and fields. The house has four bedrooms. On the first floor is the master bedroom with queen bed, and tv; along with a second queen room and a double bedroom. Up a narrow "hidden" staircase is a fully finished attic set up with primary school aged kids in mind. Two king single beds and a day bed that pulls out to a queen, plus toys, blackboard, games, bean bags - gives children their own space to entertain themselves. The house has two bathrooms with showers (one with bath) plus two toilets. A heated outdoor bath (lie back and enjoy the brilliance of the stars in the rural night sky!) and shower are normally available for those guests willing to hook up the hoses! Please note - strictly no parties (incl hens or stags groups).

Rose cottage is our family getaway from Wellington city. We purchased the house in 2019 and have fully renovated inside and out, adding lots of family friendly features and planting the orchard. We've created our idea of a great family and friends get away, and we are pleased to share our escape with you. We do ask that you respect that this is a family property and please look after it as you would a friends - we have several families that now come back every year, and we hope you will find it the perfect base to create some great family memories.

Rose Cottage is perfectly located between Featherston, Martinborough, Greytown, and 30 mins to Lake Ferry - making it a great base from which to explore and enjoy the best of the Wairarapa. The property is rural. We do have neighbours about 150m away, who have their own tranquil country B&B, so we ask that you respect the quiet environment, particularly in the evenings. Equally, you can expect to enjoy quiet, lots of fantails, great sunsets, and the wonderful Wairarapa dark sky for star gazing.
