Our character beach cottage is located on the beach front at Taupo Bay with expansive beach and ocean views from the property. Newly renovated kitchen in 2024, and exterior renovation completed in October 2024. Well equipped for a comfortable stay. We even provide pantry basics to make your stay hassle free. You just need to concentrate on bringing your fresh food. Supermarkets located in Kerikeri (Countdown & New World) 45 minutes south of Taupo Bay, and small village grocery stores at both Mangonui and Coopers Beach 20 minutes north for any of those shopping needs you may have during your stay at Taupo Bay. Safe swimming beach in good weather conditions, and famous surf break offers fantastic beach swimming at any stage of the tide. Restaurants and Cafe's also located at Mangonui.

Taupo Bay is a typical Far North east coast golden sandy beach fringed with Pohutukawa trees and beautiful crystal clear water. Located 13km from SH10 just south of Mangonui and 45 minutes north of Kerikeri. The quaint fishing village of Mangonui offers a small shopping precinct, with cafes and restaurants and small local grocery stores here and at Coopers Beach 5 minutes further north. The Butler Point Whaling Museum located at Hihi is also about 20 minutes drive north - turning off right just before you get to Mangonui. It is a fascinating local attraction and well worth a visit to learn the fascinating history of the early American whaling ships that called into this region. Bookings by appointment only.
