Hi I'm Lou the founder of Groundswell Property in Raglan, NZ. Myself and team are fortunate to look after a selection of wonderful Raglan holiday homes, accommodating from 1 to 13 guests. Waterfront, ocean views, private bay access, centre of town, cafes on your doorstep... we have something to fit every group and every budget. We'd love to welcome and host you into one of our properties and share all that our vibrant town has to offer.
All Groundswell Properties include: Linen, towels, toiletries (shampoo, body wash, soap), tea, coffee, milk, dishwashing liquid & dishwasher powder.

Guest stays longer than 5 nights will be provided with additional bathroom linen for use during your stay.
For reservations longer than 10 days, on request, additional bed linen can be provided for you to change at your convenience. Our team will collect any dirty linen at a mutually agreed time.
All reservations include an end of stay cleaning fee. Sufficient cleaning products and equipment will be available at the property for use during your stay should you need it. We do not offer mid-stay cleaning services unless this has been pre-arranged at the time of booking and we have capacity in our cleaning schedule to book this in. All additional cleaning services including mid-stay bed making will incur additional costs.

When it comes to wow-factor locations, this completely charming oceanside cottage delivers on every level. Nestled into Raglan’s premier Rose Street hillside, Tawatahi Cottage is quaint and unassuming, but this hidden gem is sure to surprise and delight. With uninterrupted panoramic water views, sun-drenched north-facing living area and a relaxed, inviting interior, Tawatahi Cottage provides an idyllic solo retreat or couples’ escape for those looking for some blissful time out. Inside this cute and quirky cottage, the pared-back coastal theme, with cool whites and calm oceanside blues create a light-filled, cosy and intimate space, the perfect spot for reading a book or simply admiring the stunning views. The large corner lounge suite provides the comfiest of places to kick back and watch the ever-changing kiwi weathers as they roll across the ocean. And on those hot summers days, throw open the french doors to enjoy your extended living and outdoor entertaining space. The fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven, stovetop and fridge/freezer looks across the open plan dining and living room with an indoor dining table that can seat up to 4 people. Or take advantage of the generous, elevated deck with solid wood dining table and enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner with ocean vistas as your backdrop.
There are two good sized bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed, bedside tables, night reading lights and 4 drawers tallboy so you can unpack and settle in as if you were right at home.
Neighbourhood information
PLEASE NOTE:
- The Master bedroom is accessed via the Queen bedroom, but does have its own door and can be closed off for privacy.
- There is a large step up to the bedrooms and steps up to the laundry and toilet area so this property wouldn’t be suitable for those that require a level entry.
- The shower is over a claw foot bath, so again not ideal for those that need a level entry.
- The toilet is a "cottage type" room that is inside the house, but has a "rustic outhouse feel" with corrugate iron walls and a sliding door for privacy.
-Please note that the clawfoot bath tap is out of order, you can fill the bath with the shower hose if wanting to use the bathtub.
- The quirky cottage vibes are continued with the slanting floors in all the rooms.
-The carport/driveway is quite steep and small so not suitable for vehicles with low clearance or tall vehicles. There is parking available on the grass verge outside the property if you'd prefer not to park in the car port.
IN THE AREA:
Perfectly located for a 5 minute wander down to the Wharf Waterfront where you can peruse the boutique retail stores, enjoy a beverage at The Wharf Cafe, pick up your evening fish & chips or jump aboard the Wahine Moe sunset cruise in summer. And in a short 12-minute walk along the waterfront, you will find yourself in the main street of our Vibrant Raglan township for more shopping, eateries and entertainment.
Rubbish - an allowance has been made for 1x full blue rubbish bag. Additional rubbish must be taken with you or dropped at a local refuse disposal station (details in house info folder).
Recycling - an allowance for 1x full recycling bin has been made per stay. Additional recycling must be taken with you or an additional charge of per box will be applied for disposal.
Electric Vehicle Charging- We are unable to accommodate electrical vehicle charging at the property, there is a fast charging station location around the town hall on Bow Street.
