The Loft is a cosy couples retreat - private and welcoming. Wake to the dawn chorus beside your very own waterfall. Be drawn to breathtaking snow-capped mountain views from your window. Breathe the fresh mountain air. Explore numerous walking tracks, local ski-fields, the Craigieburn mountain bike trails, lakes, rivers, streams. Castle Hill rocks, or adventure underground at Cave Stream! Just 10 minutes from Arthur's Pass village / a two hour drive from Christchurch International Airport, plus the Crafty Moa Restaurant and Bar is just across the road!
GREETINGS FELLOW TRAVELLERS - Rochelle and Woody here, and we know our backyard very well. We are extremely passionate about the great outdoors, travel and wilderness - whether mountaineering, skiing, trekking, hunting, fishing, exploring some distant corner of the globe, cycle touring, motorcycle racing or taking photographs - the anticipation of heading away somewhere keeps us enthusiastic about life, and eager for more! We welcome you to our little corner of the world.....
Bealey, and surrounding Arthur's Pass National Park, are a hikers paradise. Short walks, day hikes and overnight adventures are within a short drive from here. The Devil's Punchbowl waterfall is a must, as is a cafe stop in the village. Going underground at Cave Stream, rock climbing at Castle Hill or mountain biking at Castle Hill are all truly exceptional. Full day walks like Bealey Spur and the more committing Avalanche Peak are beautifully scenic, and for the more adventurous - overnighting in a back country hut is purely magical. No matter what your level of adventure is, we can point you in the right direction and ensure you get the most from your visit... and after a hard days exploring, you can pop on over to the Bealey Hotel to quench your thirst and suppress your appetite, should you choose not to dine in.
