Set in 5 acres of established grounds, heritage listed Wainono Homestead is located on State Highway 1, minutes from Waimate. Five bedrooms with sleeping for up to 10 people is available at the homestead. Upstairs we offer a queen bed room with ensuite, a large queen bed room, a twin king single room and a twin single room noting this room can be converted to a super king bed on request. These three rooms share bathroom facilities which include a bathroom with large shower and slipper bath and two separate toilets. Downstairs we offer a queen bed room with shared bathroom and toilet. The guest lounge is located upstairs and includes a kitchenette and flat screen TV with Netflix access. Complimentary continental breakfast is served in this room. Guests are also welcome to use the downstairs library with verandah access. Guests can wander the gardens or make use of various sporting equipment including croquet, cricket, bocce and yoga mats. A lawn tennis court is onsite. There is internal lift access. WiFi. Off-road car parking. Lockable space for motorcycles/bicycles.

Waimate is nestled in the Hunter Hills where you can take numerous bush walks including the Point Bush Ecosanctuary and the White Horse Monument where the views are spectacular especially at sunrise and sunset. There are many historic buildings around town for visitors to explore while checking out the main street that also offers lots of dining/cafe options and local shopping. There is numerous artwork/murals around the town including silo art. Knottingly Park and Victoria Park offer relaxing strolls. The Wallaby Park provides the opportunity to get up close and personal with these loveable marsupials. Wainono Lagoon is nearby and offers bird watching opportunities as is the beach where you can fish or explore the coastline.
