There are two bedrooms; (made up as 2 - 3 beds - depending on your needs), Euro laundry, power shower, log burner, heat pump & air conditioning. The fully equipped kitchen has a Nespresso coffee machine and, outside a Webber BBQ. Complimentary breakfast provisions include muesli, oats, toast, preserves, butter, farm fresh eggs, herbal teas, coffee pods and milk . All left for you to assemble at your leisure. This property is a small farm and we live in a seperate house. Broomfield is an area in the beautiful Waipara Valley, North Canterbury, New Zealand. Chris and Rachel have travelled extensively and enjoy meeting those who are exploring beautiful NZ The check in is contactless, we will send instructions of key location prior to arrival. We love to meet you when you arrive, otherwise we leave you to enjoy the serenity of the surroundings. Our guests tell us the quiet is like nothing else!. We are happy to share our local favorites and recommendations or help out should that be required. Extensive outdoor areas allow you to follow the daily sun; from your morning coffee overlooking the garden or an evening wine and BBQ on the deck enjoying the spectacular sunset over Mt Grey and star gazing with our big expansive South Island skies. If you want to go wine tasting, dine out or explore the awesome walks in the area; wineries are within a 5-minute drive and Amberley village is only 10 minutes away.

We are in the heart of Broomfield, Waipara Valley; - 3 minute drive to George’s road cellar doors - 4 minutes off SH 1 - 10 minutes to Waipara village where you find tasting rooms and eating establishments - 10 minutes to Amberley where they have a fabulous wee farmers market every Saturday morning, a supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, bottle shop, 2 great pubs and a brewery with excellent pizzas. The terrain is great for cycling and there are plenty of bush walks close for example Mt Grey and Mt Cass have stunning short and long walks. The cottage is: - 45 mins from Christchurch CBD - 50 mins from Christchurch international airport - 1 hour from Hanmer Springs village for soaks in hot pools or forest walks - 2 hrs to Kaikoura for whale watching or fishing - 4 hrs from the Picton Ferry - 5 hrs from Southern Lakes You will need a car to find us, as there is no public transport. There is private secure parking onsite.
