Aloha Pacifico is a beachfront homestay with direct access to the beach and a few meters from the famous surf spots in Pacifico. You can literally walk or paddle to surf! It is a small home built on principles of environmental sustainability using natural materials as much as possible. The house is built with energy efficiency in mind - the high ceilings make up for air circulation and natural breeze to come into the house. Two queen rooms open up to ocean views that is rare in Pacifico. Each room has a queen bed, mirror, lamp and fan. There's no AC in the rooms at the moment. There's a full kitchen, fridge, a high bar and a spacious living room that opens up to the front deck with a dipping pool. The bathroom is located at the back of the house. There's an indoor and outdoor toilet, a bathtub, and hot and cold shower. The house is shared with the owner who lives at the back (me!). I share common areas like the front deck, kitchen, living room and bathroom. Guests have access to the main door and beach front doors. Each room has it's of key and padlock. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU ARE BOOKING A PRIVATE ROOM IN A SHARED BEACH HOUSE, NOT A PRIVATE VILLA.

Aloha! My name is Meg, and I've been living the island life in Siargao since 2016. After living around the world (Barcelona, Georgia (the country!), Hawaii), I built a base in Siargao Island so I could live a simple beach life and surf everyday. I've travelled to 90 countries mostly for work, surf and yoga. I'm an independent consultant in peace & development work. I am an internationally certified surf and yoga instructor running a beach bar in Pacifico!

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY PRIOR TO BOOKING! *Open spaces* The beach house is situated ON the beach - steps from the beach itself. This means that privacy can be an issue sometimes because we cannot control the people who come and hang out on the beach in front of the house. Beginner surf lessons are usually done on the waves in front of the house so you will see some fun surf action. The property is also NOT gated. This means that from the small walkway, people can see you when you walk in the hallway outside the house. Sometimes neighborhood kids can come up to guests by the pool to socialize or ask to swim. While it is under your discretion to entertain them, we highly recommend telling them "Please respect our privacy." We're in a fairly quiet hood. Strictly no parties/loud music. *Humidity* Please be reminded that you are booking a NON-AC room. Humidity, moist can be an issue especially during hot summer days. If you have asthma or any respiratory related condition, please consider humidity issue. *PLEASE READ!!! Animals, insects and rodents* The beach house is situated around flora and fauna and lush greenery. The house is not a self contained concrete box. The ceiling is made of natural materials like bamboo and water/seagrass/nipa and is susceptible to moist. Insects and other animals can visit us some days - yes that includes beetles, cockroaches, flies, frogs, lizards and sometimes even hermit crabs! In the bathroom, there are lizards in the ceiling and lizard poop can fall on the floor, bathroom sink or toilet. If you are sensitive to these insects, please do not book here. Neighborhood dogs and cats and sometimes rats also appear out of nowhere. We ensure that the house is fully cleaned and sanitized before check in, however, being around nature, moist and sometimes rain, we cannot sometimes avoid these insects. Please don't keep trash and any food items inside the house and your room unattended as they attract these insects and unwanted animals.
