Bahay Kubo, Nipa hut or Payag Kamalig is a type of stilt house indigenous to the cultures of the Philippines. It often serves as an icon of Philippine culture or more specificaly rural cultures. The Bahay Kubo is a quiet, idyllic place, not near a busy street. The plot has about 1.300m². For children there is a swing in the garden. The place is not far from the sea (1km). It is 6 km to Tagbilaran City, BQ Mall (Best Quality). The house does not need air conditioning, because fresh air can sweep through the bamboo floor and pull off the warm air through the ceiling again. You always have fresh air on the large balcony where you can relax. If you want to drive into the city, to the beaches or to the Chocolate Hills, we will help you to get there. For a small extra charge we offer a motorbike and chauffeur service.

Best suitable for 1 or 2 backpackers, for one family with 2 children. The Bahay Kubo is beside our house in Dauis, where we are living. It is not far from the sea (1,1km) and only a few km away from the next beach, the Bikini Beach. Problem! Just now our street is under construction and the Bahay Kubo a native house is under construction. If you need a transportation we will look for it or we do it for a small money for you or you can rent a motorbike from us. When you arrive tell us if you need something, like grocery, so will do it with you. If you like that we make a breakfast for you tell us what you like and it will be prepared. We was also traveling a lot so we know what travelers like. You also can use our "dirty" kitchen and our grill space. In our terrace the table has 8 chairs so you can sit and eat there with your friends.

Things to Do in Panglao Island‎ Panglao Island in Bohol is home to the best white sand beaches in the country. Panglao offers a less congested beach experience. Find out what else is in store for you when you visit the island. Alona Beach is a 1.5 kilometer (0.93 mile) stretch of fine, white sand beach located on the southern end of Panglao Island. Bordered by two rocks on both ends, this stretch of sand also houses the greatest number of beachfront resorts on the island. Several restaurants can also be found near the beach. Dumaluan Beach is located on the same side of the island as Alona. This beach, when coupled with nearby Libaong Beach, creates 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) of white sand beach. Although there are several beach resorts along this stretch, it is not as crowded as Alona Beach. A popular destination for island hopping is Balicasag Island found off the coast of Panglao Island. Because the island has a marine sanctuary, you will see plenty of tropical fish and marine life when you go snorkeling. The island also has Turtle Point, where, as the name suggests, you will likely encounter turtles swimming around or even swimming next to you.
