AKA - Derek's Place. The lush beauty of Northern Siargao will surely capture your heart as it has ours. You won’t want to leave especially with a world class surf break out your front door and a personal cook to cater to your daily needs. When the surf is flat there is are a ton of spectacular sites to explore around us.
Jenn and I have loved living and serving in a beautiful place amongst amazing people for the past 25 years! We started and oversee a non profit organization serving the poor through community development projects, education and organic farming. It has been a rewarding journey well worth the toil and tears through the years. It is a pleasure having visitors come so that we can share the treasures we have found through life and island culture.
Jenn and I stay discreetly in guesthouse on property so will be readily available for any concerns or questions throughout stay.
Burgos is a place far removed from the hustle and stress of life familiar to most. The people are friendly and warm to visitors. Burgos is a rare jewel in the northern part of Siargao Island. Its the perfect place to unwind and relax away from the busy overwhelming tourist scene in GL.
Air conditioned tourists vans can be hired to take you to various island sweet spots. Motorcycles can be rented right at the airport. This is the most convenient option so that motorcycle can be returned before guest flies out. You can also find some surf board rental shops in Burgos and Pacifico for those who prefer not to travel with a board.
