Our Madeira was established in 2009 by Linda & Ricardo Dias. We have both worked in tourism all our lives, the great majority of which in Madeira, where we live (and where Ricardo hails from). We know how important it is to find the right holiday home for your holiday, and searching through the many websites can be exhausting, time-consuming, and confusing. And of course, you want to make sure you are dealing with a dependable company. Our commitment is to provide a unique, personal service, using our in-depth knowledge of Madeira (our island home) and of all the villas and apartments we feature, to assist you in making the right holiday rental choice. For some of the properties, we just handle the reservations on the owner's behalf, but for others, we take care of the cleaning and maintenance, and we will be there to greet you on arrival at the villa. All the properties are known to us personally. Between us, we have over 60 years of experience in tourism, so we like to think we know what we’re doing! Our wonderful and dedicated team also come from many different areas of Tourism and bring with them a wealth of knowledge and customer care. Located amongst the famous gardens of Monte, in the heart of this romantic and lush village in the hills above Funchal, Babosas Village is a beautifully furnished character property with eight spacious 1-bedroom apartments, a restaurant, bar and reception, complemented by personal service from its attentive team led by Ricardo and Sónia. Once a 19th century hotel which then became a special needs school and has been long closed, the full rebuild and refurbishment, which combines traditional architecture with a contemporary style, has resulted in spacious lovely apartments, all with a lounge and kitchenette, separate bedroom, shower-room, air-conditioning/heating and veranda. The charming Páteo das Babosas restaurant and coffee shop features an indoor section with wood-burner, a large front terrace with views to Funchal and the sea and a separate beautiful traditional covered veranda. Open from 09H00 to 22H00 (last orders at 21H00), it serves breakfast, snacks and hot dishes all day, afternoon teas, and an à la carte evening meal menu. Perfect for a quiet read or contemplation, there is a large common terrace for guests, with some sun-loungers and seating area and views.

The village of Monte, high above the Funchal hills, has long been a favourite for wealthy Madeirans. It was the choice for the first (and only) funicular railway in Madeira, and now for the cable car from Funchal and the famous toboggans. It’s lush vegetation, character streets, world renown gardens and timeless old world Quintas makes it appealing to those seeking a more relaxed and slower paced holiday. With a population of over 150,000, Funchal is not only the capital, but also the 'heart' of Madeira and home to many of the islanders. This makes it a busy, chic, cosmopolitan and fun city, full of shops, shopping centres, bars, cafés and a great variety of restaurants and entertainment; a vibrant, cosmopolitan town where historic splendour and breath-taking natural beauty combine with a thoroughly modern atmosphere. It also boasts a colourful covered market, numerous stately old buildings, including an imposing cathedral and a lovely theatre. The city has grown over the years, ascending higher and higher up the mountainsides, resulting in a beautiful display of sparkling white buildings by day and a myriad of glittering lights at night.
