From the moment you arrive, you’ll be greeted with breathtaking 360° views—sunrises over the Fonte Benémola Nature Reserve and sunsets behind the majestic Rocha da Pena mountain. Whether you’re relaxing on the terrace, enjoying the rooftop of the Boathouse, or exploring the nearby trails, there’s a deep sense of calm and connection to nature here. The architecture of the Casa and Boathouse reflects the beauty of the surroundings, with natural materials, thoughtful design, and a special energy that many guests feel the moment they arrive. About Me – Your Host at Casa Bela Vista In 2020, during the stillness of the pandemic period, I visited the Algarve for the very first time—and it was love at first sight. I was instantly drawn to the stunning natural beauty, the soft golden light, the mild climate with the most sunshine hours in all of Europe, the delicious food, and above all, the warmth and friendliness of the Portuguese people. Life here seemed to move at a gentler, more meaningful pace. Trusting my instincts, I made a spontaneous decision that would change my life: I found and purchased an old farmhouse tucked away in the peaceful mountains of the Algarve, right beside the protected nature reserve of Fonte Benémola. It was a hidden gem—and the perfect place to begin a new chapter. Casa Bela Vista is the result of a dream: to create a place where the beauty of life, nature, and human creativity come together in harmony. This is not just my home—it’s a space for inspiration, reflection, and connection. I’ve dedicated myself to realizing this vision, and I’m excited to share it with like-minded people who appreciate authenticity, tranquility, and the joy of simple, meaningful living. The Neighborhood Around Casa Bela Vista Casa Bela Vista is perfectly situated between two beautiful nature reserves: Fonte Benémola to the east and Rocha da Pena to the west—both offering untouched landscapes and breathtaking views. Just a 5-minute drive away lies the charming village of Querença, where you’ll find excellent local restaurants and the unique Water Museum, which highlights the region’s cultural and environmental heritage. The lively market town of Loulé is only 15 minutes to the south and is well worth a visit, especially on Saturday mornings when the farmers market fills the town with fresh produce, crafts, and local color. Faro Airport and the golden beaches around Faro are just 30–40 minutes away by car, making the location both peaceful and well-connected. For outdoor enthusiasts, the area is a paradise: The Via Algarviana long-distance hiking trail passes right by the Casa, linking the eastern and western Algarve. The nearby 7 Fontes Trail invites you to discover springs, valleys, and the exceptional natural beauty that surrounds the property. Biking and walking paths begin at your doorstep, making it easy to explore the serene, sun-drenched hills. Whether you're here to relax or explore, Casa Bela Vista offers an ideal base for discovering the authentic heart of the Algarve.
