The house is modest, centenary, charming and very welcoming. With traditional blue bar architecture, high ceilings and thick walls, it has 2 bedrooms (1 double + 1 twin), equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, dining room and living room with wood burning stove and sofa bed for two. Outside, with total privacy, the large loquat tree, the wicker shade on the dining table, the water points, the barbecue, the swing and the pool stand out. The house was completely renovated in 2021, maintaining the original structure and the elements that characterise it, such as the hydraulic mosaic, the floor fire, the interior doors and even the enamel lamps. The tiles and decoration are typical from Alentejo and include creations by local artisans. The kitchen is generous and well equipped where you feel like cooking over low heat. Don't forget to pick up the aromatic herbs outside to create the authentic Alentejo seasonings.
We aim to provide a memorable stay in Alentejo. Inside the house and outside. The outdoor space has about 200m2 and was prepared to spend quality time, day and night. You can cool off in the surface pool, ride a swing, relax on the back chairs, prepare a charcoal barbecue, dine outside. At night you can simply watch the stars or project a film on one of the walls and have an authentic outdoor cinema session. The projector, Wi-Fi network, outdoor sockets and Netflix account are available for this purpose. Outside, be sure to take a bike ride with your family or friends. Various bicycles are available for all ages. It is a flat house suitable for people with reduced mobility when accompanied. Small pets are also welcome. The property is fully walled, and secured with high walls. An electric car charging socket is available. Casa Magana is from Alentejo, cheerful and daring. You are very welcome!
Casa Magana is a traditional Alentejo house, located in Vila de Grândola, with an ideal outdoor space to spend time. Located 200 meters from the train station, about 1h from Lisbon and the Algarve and 30min from the beaches of Carvalhal and Comporta, Casa Magana allows a full Alentejo experience with its own pace to rest, celebrate or explore the surroundings . By bicycle, follow the cycle path for shopping in the center of the village, or seek more radical experiences on the mountain trails. By Stand Up Paddle you can explore the lakes nearby such as Lagoa de Santa Susana, Lagoa de Santo André or Lagoa de Melides. The kids are thrilled with the Badoca Park Safari, about 30km away. In the village, the gardens, the library, the museums, the good restaurants, the swimming pool, the landmarks of liberty, the traditional shops and the enigmatic and inspiring conversations with the residents of Grande stand out. The August party in Grândola is tough and the Sines Music Festival is no more than 30 minutes away.
