This was an old Cistercian monastery from the end of the sec. XVII, which was in ruins and was rebuilt. As the reconstruction tried to keep the original architecture as much as possible, the dignity and austerity that were the hallmark of the white monks who lived here stand out. The buildings that surround the entrance rossio were adapted to Rooms, a House, and a Living/Breakfast Room. The rooms' bay windows open onto the trees on the hillside that descends to the river, where there is a natural pool for bathing. There is an outdoor swimming pool with a beautiful view of the surrounding hills. Day and night you can hear the water running; runs to the tank, and from the tank through swaths swath to swath; it runs in the fountain inside the Cloister of the Monastery, and above all you can hear the river.

In S. Pedro do Sul, the spas, in Vouzela, the beautiful and preserved town, in Viseu, the dynamic city with historical origins. And, always excellent cuisine!
