Hello, my name is Thalie! My husband and I are from Montreal, Canada. We traveled everywhere and fell in love with Portugal on one of our travels. I had a few roots there because I lived there when I was a little girl. After visiting the Algarve and the Silver Coast, it is in the beautiful region of central Portugal that we decided to settle in!

The Quinta, surrounded by olive and fruit trees, is located on the outskirts of the village of Podentes where you can visit a renowned vineyard and even enjoy a tasting of their award-winning wine. Within 5 kms, you will find the small town of Penela offering cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, local market and all the necessary amenities for your stay. The medieval town of Coimbra, 20 minutes away, is a must for history and culture lovers. Former capital of Portugal, it is well known for its university, one of the oldest in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Within a radius of 5 to 50 kms of the Quinta, you can discover many historical sites: several castles of the medieval era (Lousa, Penela, etc), the Roman ruins of Conimbriga, the Bussaco forest with its magnificent ancient palace, etc. Explore the many hiking trails that run through the region and enjoy the river beaches for a refreshing swim.
