Joanna and Aran discovered Portgual five years ago when Aran, a documentary filmmaker, while on location. They immediately fell in love with the tranquility of Central Portugal and the warm hospitality of the Portuguese people.

Quinta do Passal is situated in the peaceful countryside of Central Portugal and with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, it is a little gem. Blending old-world charm with modern comfort, this picturesque bed and breakfast, once the home of the local bishop and steeped in tradition, offers a glimpse into the rich history and culture of Portuguese farming life.

Quinta do Passal is located 10 mins drive from the river Alge where you can find water activities, cafes, fishing, swimming and boating. There are also many hiking trails through the forests and along the river's edge. The river beach of Sao Simao is approximately 15 minutes away, and the historic cities of Coimbra and Tomar are approximately 30-40 minutes drive.
