The “Refúgio do Vidoeiro” (directly translated : “the Birch Refuge”) is a beautiful and friendly house that allows local accommodation in the National Park of Peneda Gerês (PNPG - Parque Nacional da Peneda do Gerês), considered today one of the seven natural wonders of Portugal. This project is born out of the desire to build a remote "hiding place" from the urban movement. A place to unwind and rest, but mostly to enjoy a quiet and private environment. Ideally made for couples and families to spend their moments together with the intention of combining a pleasant stay and the opportunity of sharing the cultural and natural heritage that is available throughout the PNPG, being this the purpose and need for promoting the value of human activities and natural resources, for educational and tourist purposes.
