Caniço is a coastal town on the Portuguese island of Madeira. The sprawling Quinta Splendida Botanical Garden has hundreds of different plant species. A towering statue of Christ the King stands atop Cristo Rei Viewpoint, which offers sweeping ocean views. The Garajau Cable Car descends to a beach at the base of the cliff.
