We have a choice of 2 beautiful modern luxury apartments, purpose built within this attractive villa, surrounded by trees and greenery, with direct access to forest and mountain walks, but still within easy walking distance of the restaurants and bars of the old town of Baia Mare and even closer to its major park. In winter, you can reach the ski slopes at Mogosa within 25 mins by car (and we can provide a dry place to store ski equipment, bikes etc).. We have a small green garden for the use of guests (and a private terrace for the one bed flat). The apartments are located on the first floor and are suitable for couples, solo travellers, business visitors and families with children. Car parking is available at no extra charge.
Andreea is Romanian/British, and was born and brought up in Baia Mare, studying at a sports school and specialising at that time in athletics and tennis (where she played as a junior at 'county' level). She then moved to London where she qualified as a Personal Trainer. She returned to Baia Mare in 2017 to offer individual training to local residents and visitors to the area and since autumn 2018 she has also offered the two luxury apartments at 191 Valea Rosie. Her business partner, Mike, is a British born Welshman, who has lived most of his adult life in London and Hong Kong. Andreea and Mike will be here to greet you in Romanian or English and will be available to assist you throughout your stay.
Whilst located in a quiet residential area, with direct access to mountain and forest walks, the apartments are still within a 15 minute walk of Regina Maria Park and only a 25 minute walk of the old town with its popular bars and restaurants (and if you prefer a taxi back it will only cost circa 2 Euros). Other attractions in the town include the mineralogical and other museums, the Stefan Tower and the medieval Butcher's Tower.
Nearby attractions include the village of Breb, the famous wooden churches of Maramures and the Barsana Monastry whilst possible day trips include the unique Merry Cemetery at Sighetu and the Viseu Narrow Gauge Steam Railway.
In winter, you can reach the ski resorts of Sulor and Cavnic within 30 minutes by car (even less to Mogosa) and we can provide a dry place to store your ski equipment.
