The hosts - Marlene and David were absolutely wonderful. Very accommodating, and thoughtful (Marlene left us some breakfast in the room which we thought was very kind). The garden hut has all the facilities that you need. Comfortable and quiet, great location, close to the restaurants and local bars. Wish we stayed there longer! Next time!

The apartment is very big, with an equipped kitchen, big living room, two rooms and two bathrooms, more than enough for 4 people.
The hosts were friendly and responsive, trying their best to solve issues and help.
Location is good if you are looking for a place close to the Victoria Center and with good bus connections (not great if you want to easily access beaches, none at walking distance)
Victoria city is a clean and safe city. City start winding down as early as 5pm. Central Market, museum, beaches around, great local and international foods. Easy to navigate the city. Car rental available at good price.

Variety of shops. Safe. Cultural. Food is expensive. Beautiful lush terrain. Humid. Bus is best way to travel. Reasonable. When you change buses you have to pay fare again (12 rupees). Cabs are expensive. Many pharmacies if required. Locals are friendly, helpful. Bus service good M- F and Sunday. Minimal Saturday. Not much open Sunday.

Victoria was easily accessed, there were many markets and most people spoke English. There are frequent rain showers that lasted a few minutes which is a relief as it is hot and humid most of the time. The restaurants were great but for South Africans it worked out expensive to eat and drink. There were far too many cars on the road and simply no parking available in Victoria. lovely sights and scenery . The roads that lead over the mountain give way to absolutely breath taking views. The local busses and their drivers were a menace on the road but they provided value for money public transport.

Not the type of capitol city many of us are used too.
Not the type of capitol city many of us are used too. You'll see it all within 2 hours. The tourist offer is pretty slim at best, while any tourist related item prices are very steep. In Seychelles, it's the beaches you'll enjoy, not the city atmosphere.

Victoria is ok, but we spent most of our time renting an apartment (Villa Bella) on the North East point, which was perfect for us. The North East point is far away from any touristy areas, so you'll need a car, which I'd recommend anyways to go to the different beaches, trails, supermarket etc. So stay elsewhere than Victoria is my advice!

As the capital of Seychelles, Victoria is a must see.
As the capital of Seychelles, Victoria is a must see. It is the cultural centre of the country. But the restaurants are very average to poor.
Be prepared to pay tourist rates for everything and forget about coffee, there is none that is drinkable.
For those in a hurry, two days is enough to see Victoria.
Property is well maintained, very clean, our room is lovely and very spacious. The bathroom is even more spacious with those lovely raining shower! Since it’s at the hill, we also get both garden and sea views. The breakfast is absolutely delicious. Freshly made coconut cakes, pan cakes with papaya jam, fruit smoothies, fruit parfaits, omelette are definitely to try. Even the fruity water taste refreshing! Hotel also able to arrange airport transfer at $600SCR per trip. Great location to Victoria, which is the Mahe city center.
The property was clean, spacious, at the main road and beach. The departmental store and bus stop is next to the property. It was quiet and peaceful, far from the hustle bustle of the city. The staffs, Emily and Tabrez were very helpful and guided us about the Island very well as we were the first time visitors to Seychelles. Since we couldn’t get a chance to get a car on rent so we took a bus and enjoyed the island view via bus and dropped off wherever we wanted to. This gave us the liberty to enjoy on our own.
Due to the higher location, the temperature is noticeably cooler than on the beach. There's also a constant breeze. We didn't need the air conditioning at all.
Very rich breakfast included every day, with lots of different tropical fruits.
The building itself is beautiful. It's very nice and breezy inside.
Nice views from the balcony, which could also easily serve as a birdwatching platform.
Very quiet.
Large, luminous and perfectly clean and well-equipped apartment. The views of the bay are stunning.
Very warm reception, everything works well and it is a very comfortable place to stay.
If you do not have a car, as me, prepare to walk up a steep, but short, street from the beach. It takes 5 minutes do walk down and a bit more up :)
Supermarkets are at a 10 minute walk, as well take away places.
An absolutely wonderful place for a quiet and peaceful holiday. The hostess Mary Claire solved any question that arose. Self-catering is a huge plus. You don't feel like a guest, everything is as homey as possible. The room is cleaned every day, upon return, the smell of freshness meets. There is a bus stop nearby, from where you can get to the beaches of Anse-Royale, Baie-Lazare and Victoria.
Our stay at Villa Panoramic was perfect. The room was very clean and was cleaned everyday. We enjoyed the breakfast and loved the pool. Ashley the host is just an awesome person, she made sure we had everything we needed and we didn't meet anyone more knowledgeable about Seychelles than her throughout our trip :). We will definitely come back here on our next visit. Hats off!
Very spacious apartment, lots of space and very often. The villa is so big that there is enough space for 3 more people!!! Lots of privacy, no one disturbed us, so we recommend it to people who like peace and quiet. Right next to it is the beautiful Anse Kerlan beach. You can hear the waves even in the bedroom. Beautiful sunsets. We will definitely come back!!!!
Nice Villa with a pool, good location by the beach, 10 minutes drive to Victoria.
.Marylene was wonderfull and did everything right to make us feel at home
.Bernard the chef prepared great dinner meals for us with a vriaty of exceptional courses to choose from
We had a great vacation and enjoyed very much the hospitality at Villa Le Bonheur.
great accommodation. maka bay really thought of everything and you feel at home there - the kitchen is perfectly equipped, the bathroom even has a washing machine and free washing capsules. great view from the balcony. renting a car is a must, then it's easy to get to good beaches and restaurants.
Located on the top of a mountain with good view of Victoria town. Cozy bed and continuous availability of Hot water all the time .
The staff are amazing. Margarette helped me in arranging a group tour to Praslin and La Degue Island within a short span of time.
Room was large and spacious, there is a relaxing sound of a water stream from behind the hotel.
Staff was very helpful and went out of their way to assist us.
location is convenient to come from airport or to walk to Eden island.
Good location to see the town Victoria, botanic garden, ( on foot- 10 -15 min walk)
The staff organised my transfer from the airport, to the beach, to the seaport.
Good WF
Good breakfast, especially fruit salad.🙂
Staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. The rooms were cleaned immaculately every day. Location was great, although recommend having a car. Rental available at hotel is required.
The staff was amazing. Very helpful and supportive and friendly. The view was very nice. The hotel has a pool and a restaurant. They arranged taxis to everywhere we needed to go.
