Victoria city is a clean and safe city. City start winding down as early as 5pm. Central Market, museum, beaches around, great local and international foods. Easy to navigate the city. Car rental available at good price.

Variety of shops. Safe. Cultural. Food is expensive. Beautiful lush terrain. Humid. Bus is best way to travel. Reasonable. When you change buses you have to pay fare again (12 rupees). Cabs are expensive. Many pharmacies if required. Locals are friendly, helpful. Bus service good M- F and Sunday. Minimal Saturday. Not much open Sunday.

Victoria was easily accessed, there were many markets and most people spoke English. There are frequent rain showers that lasted a few minutes which is a relief as it is hot and humid most of the time. The restaurants were great but for South Africans it worked out expensive to eat and drink. There were far too many cars on the road and simply no parking available in Victoria. lovely sights and scenery . The roads that lead over the mountain give way to absolutely breath taking views. The local busses and their drivers were a menace on the road but they provided value for money public transport.

Not the type of capitol city many of us are used too. You'll see it all within 2 hours. The tourist offer is pretty slim at best, while any tourist related item prices are very steep. In Seychelles, it's the beaches you'll enjoy, not the city atmosphere.

Victoria is ok, but we spent most of our time renting an apartment (Villa Bella) on the North East point, which was perfect for us. The North East point is far away from any touristy areas, so you'll need a car, which I'd recommend anyways to go to the different beaches, trails, supermarket etc. So stay elsewhere than Victoria is my advice!

As the capital of Seychelles, Victoria is a must see.
As the capital of Seychelles, Victoria is a must see. It is the cultural centre of the country. But the restaurants are very average to poor.
Be prepared to pay tourist rates for everything and forget about coffee, there is none that is drinkable.
For those in a hurry, two days is enough to see Victoria.
Villa Kolibri was a very nice property, clean, and near the airport. The owner and staff are particularly lovely and were extremely communicative. The home had basic cooking supplies (oil, vinegar, salt, pepper) and most appliances that you need, including a combo washer/dryer which is exceptionally useful. The most underrated feature is the incredible rooftop deck with an expansive view of the airport and Victoria in the distance; just a fantastic space to have a drink in the evening, particularly for aviation enthusiasts.
The property was clean, spacious, at the main road and beach. The departmental store and bus stop is next to the property. It was quiet and peaceful, far from the hustle bustle of the city. The staffs, Emily and Tabrez were very helpful and guided us about the Island very well as we were the first time visitors to Seychelles. Since we couldn’t get a chance to get a car on rent so we took a bus and enjoyed the island view via bus and dropped off wherever we wanted to. This gave us the liberty to enjoy on our own.
Michel holiday apartment is well located within 5 min drive from Seychelles airport.
Nearby supermarkets and groceries are accessible even at night.
It is another 15 min drive to Victoria and Eden island.
Host Ann was super friendly and helpful; the garden is maintained nicely, the apartment is clean and well maintained, have a secured private room parking.
Overall, our stay at the apartment was memorable, and I’d highly recommend especially for a family.
The apartment was spacious and very comfortable with all the amenities one would need for a self-service apartment. Everything was very clean and the facilities were in great shape. The host was always ready to answer questions or help out when you called, and very flexible with late check out if the room wasn't needed immediately. Location was right in the middle of victoria, with 5-10 mins access to super markets and other amenities when needed.
We felt very comfortable and welcome !Heartful Family! The service in particular was outstanding!!! The location is perfect for trips. Marilyn kindly took us with her car to Victoria and also to the beautiful sunset beach. The dinner was exceptionally great and freshly prepared daily according to our wishes. The turtles in the garden and the paradise garden with tropical fruits is ideal for children. We'd love to come back!
The hotel has exceeded our expectations! Extremely friendly manager, parking, clean rooms, strong WiFi, good view, coffee machine, complementary water, juice, snacks...
Another point I would like to pay special attention to is the quality of the bed! Wide, clean, white, nice smelling, comfortable... Amazing! Especially after 9 hours flight
Generally the hotel left very good impression
The hotel is located just 5 minutes walk from center of Victoria and about 20 minutes walk from Beau Vallon (be careful when you walk after dark, there is no lightning on Serret Rd. in front of the hotel and the ditch on each side of the street is not covered). We were upgraded to bigger room and the room was very nice and comfy. The breakfast was tasty with fresh fruit and juice.
Andrew was an excelente staff, very kind and professional! The room was huge, with a very pleasant balcony overlooking the mountains and the Chef Island. Queen size bed with an orthopedic mattress! Excellent breakfast! Very good Internet! Very nice location, just above the Victoria’s city center, and a quiet place!
Everything was perfect, the location is beautiful, you’re close by beaches and the bus stop is right next to the accommodation. The family who owns the accommodations are absolutely wonderful, super helpful and friendly. We loved our two weeks stay in here and will definitely be back!
Conveniently situated for airport and dock. We used it for a one night stay before joining a cruise. It’s not a resort hotel or near a beach but perfect for what we needed and extremely good value for money. Great breakfast, comfortable bed and extremely helpful and friendly staff.
The owner Daphni is the best one! She made the best dinner ever, really! Wonderful view from our apartment was excellent in any kind of weather!
It’s really 5 min walk from the beach, and not so difficult road.
We had wonderful holidays. Thank you so much!
Just perfect, everything is brand new in the room and the hotel, Niko and his wife are very friendly, perfectly located 50 meters from the beach of Beau Valon, restaurants and shops around, car parking, just perfect
Staff is very helpful and welcoming. Hotel is quite and located on the mountain with a wonderful view on Victoria and other islands. Dinner is well cooked, don't miss it, I would recommend a meal of Groupa fish 😊.
The staff was amazing. Very helpful and supportive and friendly. The view was very nice. The hotel has a pool and a restaurant. They arranged taxis to everywhere we needed to go.
We loved the pool, the beauty and modernness of the suites. Absolutely wonderful, helpful and kind staff! Would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Mahè!
