Arlanda Express Train very efficient and easy to navigate.
Arlanda Express Train very efficient and easy to navigate.
We found most things to be expensive but the city was clean and pleasant to walk around.
If time is short plan days trips carefully as city is spread out.
Abba museum over rated.
Vasa museum more memorable.

Seems like every restaurant expects you to have reserved.
Seems like every restaurant expects you to have reserved. Now we know.
The transit system is easy to use--just tap your credit card.
We enjoyed the tour of City Hall. The Royal Palace, not so much.
Lots of construction around the Slussen T-Bana station. Avoid having to transfer there.
It seems like everyone speaks English, no problem.
In general, everything is a bit more expensive than in New York.

It has a very nice historical centre and a great boat trip...
It has a very nice historical centre and a great boat trip around the archipelago. The Vasa Museum is outstanding. The local food is excellent, especially the "Meatballs for The People" restaurant, which was absolutely great fun!
The "fika" experience with good coffee, cinnamon bun, or other sweets is also excellent.
A very elegant place and so convenient for taking one of the many sightseeing boats and seeing the Gamla Stan or Old City. I mostly walked everywhere except when going with a friend by bus or tram to see museums on Lidingo (Island) and in Djurgarden. I also took the bus to the Strindberg Museum. Staff very helpful. The hotel is only one mile from Stockholm's Central Station. I even walked to the station to catch the Arlanda Express train which got me to Arlanda Airport in only twenty minutes.
Location of the hotel is excellent, right in the middle of everything or with easy access to everything, as metro station is right outside the front door.
Breakfast is possibly the best we ever had, combining perfect quality and unbelievably numerous choices!
Also, there is a nice lounge where you can have a beer or a cup of tea after returning from a long day wandering in beautiful- cold Stockholm.
Stuff very helpful, rooms spotless and clean!
We visited Sweden and Norway for 3 weeks and stayed in the Hotel Ruth twice as we were flying in and out of Stockholm, the first time for 3 nights (at the beginning of our holiday) and the second time for 1 night (at the end of the holiday).
The breakfast was excellent, both in terms of quality and quantity, probably the best we had during the vacation.
Equally, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful hotel with excellent breakfast.
Perfect for those who enjoy museums and fresh air. Friendly staff. Excellent transportation with busses, trams and the very scenic commuter boats. There are nice restaurants around but not as many as in the absolute city centre. Within a ~ 5 minute walk there are 7 of Stockholm's best museums. Wasa ship, Viking, Wreck, Liljevalchs art, Skansen and ABBA museum.
We choose this hotel as it offer free parking. The hotel is well located with the train station only 300 mts away ( 3 stops or 15 min and you're in Stockholm). Clever which welcome us when we arrived to check it was extremely helpful (probably the best front desk manager we had in the last 4 weeks across scandinavia). He gave us great tips on what to visit and where to eat in Stockholm.
I travelled with my sister who values comfort a lot. The hotel is simply one of the best in Stockholm - it is perfectly located, has an amazing friendly staff, clean and comfy rooms, delicious breakfast and has all necessary facilities (restaurant, gym, etc). Moreover, the hotel is sustainable which is great!
I would definitely stay here during my next trip - LOVE IT!
The location is good, a little outside central Stockholm but close to a train station, the hotel is super comfortable and the breakfast is superb, the style of the hotel and design is beautiful and the atmosphere so nice, the rooftop bar is amazing and has some of the best drinks in Stockholm, the beds were super comfortable as was the room over all!
Really nice, and modern hotel, mch better than what could be expected related to best western brand name. Easy to walk to reach main and old downtown, but a little tricky to find the way back unless you have wifi or know your way around. Good breakfast included, and a very comfortable, though small room experience. The bar and lounge area are a plus
Hotel is perfect choice for it’s price: it’s outside the city center, but there is subway station in 5 mins, so you can get to Gamla Stan in 25-30 mins. There is nice quite neighborhood with cafes and supermarket near the hotel. Breakfast in the hotel is pretty diverse with big choice of food. There is an iron and ironing-board in every room.
This boat hotel offers a nice alternative for stays at the heart of Stockholm. From there you can walk through the city center, or take a metro at the subway station located 5 minutes away. Inside, you really feel like taking part to a nordic exploration of a century ago. You only occasionally feel the boat gently heaving. Breakfast is good.
The room and the bathroom were both very clean. The location is exceptional for the price - I think it's the best budget option in central Stockholm if you want a private room. We did not have breakfast, but the person at the reception was very nice and helpful. We were surprised to find out that the boat had drinkable tap water!
Lovely hotel. Amazing breakfast. Easy 5 min walk to Old Stockholm. About 15 min walk to Slussen dock - water bus. Rooms were clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. A little pricey but worth it for ease of access. Uber to airport was faster and cheaper than the bus.
The room was absolutely beautiful. The breakfast, one of the best. The location was excellent! The staff was warm, human, friendly. We fell in love with the hotel the moment we stepped in. The next time in Stockholm we know where we will be staying. A great experience!
We have visited many countries in Europe and have stayed in many hotels, but this hotel was far the best, we really enjoy our stay. Rooms are so comfortable and spacious. Thank you. In casw we will visit Stockholm again we will definitely stay here.
This is hands down the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Stockholm. Wonderful staff, great (safe and mostly quiet) location, tasty breakfast, close to everything, good value for money, lovely room, and comfy bed. Highly recommended!
- Beautiful and quiet location, with a good positioning to visit Stockholm.
- nice setting / theme inside the hotel
- friendly staff
- breakfast is wonderful. with a lot of fresh choices. (one of the best we had in a hotel).
Very good location - you can easily access groceries and Stockholm City Center, the latter through the commuter's train.
The breakfast is basic, but really good. And that holds true for the whole hotel.
Room was large and comfortable. Hotel was right near train station and short 10 minute walk to Gamla Stan. Staff very helpful even suggested items to do on checkout day.
