Hey - come share this wonderful place with me! as you leave the mainland and step onto the island of Stora Timrarö - you will feel the energy on the Island. I have this place to write my books and relax with my kids. You can come here by using your own boat - there is a place for it at Stora Timrar Ö Västra or take the ferryboat from Nybroviken in the middle of Stockholm. Surroundings Just two minutes walk to the sandy beach with a jetty and warm unabashed rocks for sunbathing in the south. The island has walking paths and the northern part of the island is free for hiking in the woods and among the mountains . Day trips by passenger boat , Waxholmsbolaget , can be made to Vaxholm, the beautiful summer archipelago town with lots of boat traffic, shops, restaurants. If you come by your own boat you can go to the nearby island Ljusterö, to Linanäs where there's seaside restaurant , shop and marine service station . Boating is for those who have their own boat . Please bring your bikes, then it is perfect to ride on the island. Good fishing in the surrounding waters where you find pike , perch and herring. Very child friendly and in summer there are many children on the island.
