Sunset Apartments are located in the heart of Bohinjska Bistrica, just a short stroll from shops, bars, restaurants, a bowling alley, and the Bohinj Water Park. Lake Bohinj is 6 km away, the Vogel Ski Resort 10 km, and Soriška Planina 13 km away. Behind the house, the apartments feature a spacious elevated entertainment area with beautiful views of the Julian Alps and the town. Use of the pool is also available at your own risk. The apartments are modernly furnished and offer everything you need for a perfect holiday. We also offer free parking and contactless check in.
We are Pia and Ratema, and we’re delighted to welcome you to Sunset Apartments. This is Pia’s family home — the place where she grew up and where many wonderful memories were made. About 15 years ago, life took us to Australia, but we will always love Bohinj. Every summer we return to take care of the apartments and spend time with the family, and we love sharing this special place with guests from all over the world. Bohinj is truly one of the most beautiful corners of Slovenia, and we would be thrilled for you to experience it. We’re always happy to share our favourite walks, viewpoints, activities, and local food recommendations — the little secrets only locals know. We hope you feel at home with us and enjoy everything that Bohinj has to offer. Warm welcome!
You can explore Bohinjska Bistrica and its surroundings on foot. In the town you’ll find a museum, local shops, and restaurants offering local food. Every Saturday there is a market with locally grown produce. The railway station and the longest railway tunnel in Europe are also interesting to visit. You can explore the nearby nature on foot as well — head into the hills or take a beautiful walk through Dobrava to the source of the Bohinjska Bistrica stream. There are regular bus connections to the lake. Bohinjska Bistrica is also a great starting point for a day trip to the Soča Valley by car train or regular train (it’s only 40 minutes by train to Most na Soči).
