As a world heritage site, you can marvel at the wildlife that you see from Kingfishers and sea eagles to storks nestling on the telegraph poles and the giant loggerhead Carretta Carretta Turtle which breeds here in the summer months. The river is the access to the 5 KM golden sand Iztuzu beach (voted in the best 10 beaches of the world) and also take a river taxi out onto the lake for an evening watching the shooting stars or travel across to the village of Koycheciz where the folds of the mountain range that ends in the Himalayas start. There is a new ski centre at Seki which is less than 2 hours away so you can both ski and sunbathe in the winter on the same day. We can arrange all activities from cycling, horse riding, gullet cruises, snorkelling, fishing, scuba, white water rafting etc. The area is also famous as an archeological site of ancient ruins and lycient cliff tombs and is the home of mud baths and natural sulphur bathing springs.
