While it is always tough to leave my two besties, my Aussies, Beethoven and Etta James, I enjoy traveling and incorporating attending music and events while experiencing new cultures. I generally travel solo and try my best to travel light, focusing on experiences over packing and unpacking! The historic Bolton neighborhood lies low along the banks of the Willamette River on the east and reaches into the West Linn hills on the west. It’s flanked by Robinwood to the north, Hidden Springs and Rosemont Summit to the west, Sunset to the east and south, and the Willamette River along its entire eastern edge. Bolton has some of the most diverse terrain in West Linn. The terrain and riverfront give Bolton some of West Linn’s largest and most diverse parks, namely Mary S. Young Park, Burnside Park, Hammerle Park, Maddox Woods, Mclean House & Park and West Bridge Park. If you love the great outdoors, communing with nature, and easy river access, you'll fall in love with this neighborhood! West Linn, Oregon is a city rich with natural beauty, vibrant neighborhoods and the history of Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory. Located just south of Portland, West Linn is is known as the city of “hills, trees and rivers.” Historic Bolton Neighborhood borders the Willamette River. It reaches from the access to West Linn’s second largest employer, West Linn Paper Company, to Mary S. Young Park and up the hill where it borders Camassia and Wilderness Parks. Burnside Park, Maddox Woods, McLean House Park, and West Bridge Park comprise more than 30 acres of woodlands along the river. Hammerle Park and a Tot Lot are developed play areas. A brochure is available in the cottage for a 3.3 mile Bolton Walk. The cottage sits directly next to Maddox Woods and Burnside Park, and directly down the street from McLean House Park and West Bridge Park! Bolton/Central Village Within the Bolton neighborhood is Central Village (and short walk from the cottage). Central Village offers a contemporary shopping experience with a “town square” feel. Uniquely designed to fit the needs of the locale, Market of Choice anchors Central Village, includes great local restaurants and a Starbuckss, and is a short walk from the cottage.
