Property information

Welcome to The Burke House; Established in 2016 by Regina S, a passionate traveler, The Burke House stands as a testament to her love for creating inviting spaces. Drawing from her explorations, she's crafted a sanctuary that fellow travelers will find both comforting and endearing. Built in 1920s, this home seamlessly weaves vintage charm with contemporary updates including central air-conditioning and heat, hardwood floors, marble detail, and high ceilings with lots of windows for natural light. Operating with the spirit of a snug boarding house you'll be given a private space within one of our four B&B Suites, The PNW Suite, The Rainier Suite, The Cascade Suite, or the Puget Sound Suite. Parts of the house like the kitchen, dining area, patio, yard, laundry, and living rooms are communal spaces. They're designed to foster both solitude and community interactions. Where guests can either enjoy their own company or engage in heartwarming conversations with fellow residents. Inside, you'll find a décor that’s clean and comfortable and radiates a warmth akin to home. We've stocked the house with most of the essentials to ensure your stay is hassle-free. Though we take pride in offering cost-effective lodgings ideal for the self-reliant traveler, we wish to highlight that we don't provide high-end resort features or concierge facilities. But if you're looking for a touch of luxury during your stay, for an extra fee, our hot tub awaits to offer relaxation and rejuvenation. At The Burke House. We invite you to immerse yourself in a space that echoes with tales of travels, dreams, and homely comfort.

Neighbourhood information

Our home is nestled in the charming Wallingford neighborhood, known for its beautifully landscaped yards and historic Seattle architecture. Boasting a central location, Wallingford offers easy access to the city's best local eateries, bars, cafes, and boutique shops. Whether you're interested in exploring iconic tourist attractions, immersing yourself in Seattle's vibrant music scene, indulging in café culture, or dining at top-notch restaurants, you'll find that the Pacific Northwest's natural beauty and urban offerings are just a stone's throw away. For more extensive nightlife options and big-name shopping experiences, you're just a 10–20-minute journey via public transportation or a 5–10-minute drive away.
