Our little Cabin at the Hill sits on an 80 acre cactus farm off the highway. We are close to Big Bend National Park, Terlingua Ghost town, and BBR State Park. We have a very clean, private one room off grid cabin with all of the amenities you could want. A queen sized bed, kitchenette with cook-top, mini fridge, a/c, heat, full bathroom with shower, a front porch with million dollar views, an outdoor kitchen with propane grille, and free wifi (Starlink). Come and enjoy the amazing sunrises, mountain views, peace and quiet, and if you are lucky-see the wild donkeys! Our cabin allows for you to enjoy what Terlingua was meant for - a getaway.
I live on the property (about a mile away) and I am a Terlingua local. I am a carpenter by trade, but I also maintain and run the cactus farm. I built the cabin by hand, so I take a lot of pride and care in it. I want you to have the best stay possible. I am here if you have any questions or just need some advice on where to eat. Internet is sketchy around town, so just give me a chance and I will get back to you as soon as I have service. Please, make yourself at home and enjoy all the beauty Terlingua has to offer.
There isn't really a "neighborhood" out here. You will be about 1/4 mile off the highway on a 80 acre tract of land surrounded by mountains and cactus. The only neighbors you are bound to see are the local donkeys, that visit us almost daily. Otherwise, you are about 16 miles to Study Butte, 30 miles to Big Bend National Park and Terlingua Ghost Town.
