We are located in a genuine mountain community with full-time residents. As part of the local character, you may hear our neighbors' dogs offer a brief, welcoming bark when you first arrive. They are friendly and quiet down right away. Wildlife & Seasonal Activities: The mountains are teeming with nature! It's not uncommon to see wildlife, including black bears, so please be mindful and keep a safe distance. Additionally, hunting is a traditional activity in this region during certain seasons. You may see hunters and their dogs in the general vicinity, which is a normal part of life here. Mountain Utilities: Part of the adventure of a rural getaway is being subject to Mother Nature. Powerful storms can occasionally interrupt the power and Starlink internet. While we cannot control the grid, we have provided a kit with flashlights and batteries to keep you comfortable until service is restored. This is a living community, not a tourist resort, offering a genuine taste of mountain life.
