Come hit the trails this winter and enjoy access to over 300 miles of groomed trails in Sawyer County, the heart of Wisconsin's Northwoods. Direct trail access is just 4 minutes away at Hayward Power Sports, and Black Iron Grill is a favorite for a nice trailside meal. 2 King ensuites and 3 bathrooms ensure no one has to wait long for a shower in the morning, and our new high-efficiency fireplace will warm your toes after a day outdoors. Dog-Friendly!
We are a family who loves to travel and work in hospitality and travel services in Africa. We are Wisconsinites by birth and love to show off the beauty of the many places in Wisconsin we love, including the Northwoods and the Milwaukee area. Acorn Shores is located on a quiet part of McClain Lake on the Tiger Cat flowage. The navigable channel at the end of McClain Lake takes you to Upper Twin Lake, which is classified as class A Musky waters, and is abundant with Musky, Perch, and Bluegill. Our frontage is not sandy, and as the lake bed is a natural state protected resource, (which makes for great fishing) many of our guests appreciate water shoes if they intend on swimming to make wading in easier. Or fish right from our new dock for bass and panfish! Trail access is via Gravel Pit Road a half mile away, and leads to 5 other trails, great for snowmobiling and biking! Detailed turn by turn directions and a map are provided after booking via our guide book.
