We love the outdoors and have spent our thirty-two years together jet skiing, skiing, ATVing, hiking and camping. In June of 2023 Larry and I were able to purchase Galena Road Cabins (previously Cole Cabins), which was a dream come true. Throughout our lives together, it feels as though our experiences were preparing us for this new adventure. We are committed to ensuring your stay is enjoyable and comfortable. Welcome to Galena Road Cabins which are located in the gorgeous pines of the Black Hills National Forest. Our property is only seven miles south of historic Deadwood and less than an hour away from Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer State Park. We are centrally located near some of the best ATV, UTV and Jeep trails of the Black Hills. The famous Mickelson Trail for hiking and biking is within seven miles. Our peaceful property includes eight camping cabins and three cabins in the 1920 Lodge building. All of the camping cabins share two shower houses, which include two private bathrooms with a shower, toilet and sink. Two of the Lodge cabins have private bathrooms, and one Lodge cabin shares the shower houses. The rustic cabins are furnished with log beds, log tables and other log furniture throughout the cabins. Enjoy visiting with family and friends around the firepit at night or taking in nature eating lunch at your private picnic table. All cabins have a deck to peacefully enjoy the Black Hills. Each cabin comes equipped with electric heat, AC, flat screen TV, DVD player and movies, coffee maker and coffee, mini fridge, microwave, linens, towels, an outdoor BBQ grill and utensils, a firepit and picnic table. Select cabins include electric fireplaces, full kitchens, kitchenettes, private restrooms and Keurig machines with coffee pods. There is a cabin for every budget, ranging from the smaller 120 square foot units to the largest 1175 square foot cabin in the Lodge, which includes a loft.

Our guests love the tranquility of the cabins. We are located on a hill overlooking Galena Road and the campground across the road. Galena Road Cabins are off of Highway 385, which is the main road coming into the area. Guests have commented on the beautiful view from the hillside our cabins sit on. Visitors come from all over the world to explore the Black Hills, including historic Deadwood, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Spearfish Canyon, Roughlock Falls, Pactola Lake and the many other attractions around the Black Hills. We have guests who enjoy hiking, biking, riding their ATV, UTV and Jeeps throughout the hundreds of miles of trails throughout the area. Our property is also located only 20 minutes from Sturgis, which is known for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally that occurs in August every year.
