Habersham was designed to interact with the landscape including many trees and ponds. Many homes are close to the Broad River, a key estuary. The roads are narrow and speed limits are restricted. Resident cars are parked in the alleys and gravel roads behind the houses. Deer run free and there is a wide assortment of birds here. Parks are located throughout Habersham. Your best bet in getting around is by walking, bicycling, or via golf car. The Habersham Marketplace has sufficient parking for the restaurants and stores. Golf cars are available for rental while you are here. There are at least three rental outlets for golf cars in the Beaufort area.
