The Brown Bear Lodge is half-way up a mountain and is surrounded on three sides by a national park. Get ready for an amazing view! It's 3/4 of a mile from the community entrance- which is directly across from the lake. When we go to the lake we normally walk or pop in the car. Welcome to the Blue Ridge Mountains. You will need to have your own vehicles as there is little to no local transportation.
