The house was beautiful and spacious. It was very clean, and the kitchen had all the appliances so we could do some cooking. It was close to many restaurants and coffee shops too if we didn't feel like cooking. It was defiantly worth its value.

The house was built in 1895, and is now a duplex. The short-term rental is on the main floor of the house. The back door leads to a deck and private garden. The location has easy access to public transport and freeway entrances in all directions.
I'm a Portland native, going back several generations. I'm an artist and chef. I love traveling, and hope you find the rental a comfortable place to stay while enjoying all that Portland, Oregon has to offer.
The house was built in 1895 in the Eliot neighborhood of what was then the town of Albina. The Eliot neighborhood is one of the oldest in Portland. Located on the East side of the Willamette River, it is bordered by the Boise, King, Irvington, Lloyd neighborhoods, and the Willamette River. Albina was laid out in 1872 with a plat for the new town filed in April 1873. At the time of incorporation on February 8, 1851 the city of Portland had over 800 inhabitants, a steam sawmill, a log cabin hotel, and a newspaper, the Weekly Oregonian. By 1879, the population had grown to 17,500. The city merged with Albina and East Portland in 1891. The latest population of Eliot neighborhood is listed at 6,974 residents.
