On the National Historic Registry since 1998, Oakcliff, in the breathtakingly beautiful Saratoga County, is the gateway to the Adirondacks, and likely the best business decision you'll ever make when it comes to out-of-town accommodations. Tired of the souless hotels and cafeteria style breakfasts? We get it; we once lived it too. You'll find plenty of soul here at Oakcliff. For starters, Estate at Oakcliff is set up on a cliff, overlooking the breathtaking, historic Erie Canal waterway. Oakcliff is said to have among "the best views on the Erie Canal" with "a spectacular view of the Mohawk River" (The Erie Canal Legacy, 2000; Historic Houses of the Hudson River Valley, 2001). Oakcliff boasts a B & B like no other in the Saratoga County region. Relax on a hammock at cliff side and feel the wind off the waters of the majestic Mohawk River. Or take a stroll down a long, winding dockside path and enjoy a picnic at the river's edge on a lazy fall, leaf-blown afternoon. Cozy up with a book in the famous library where General Grant would converse with T. G. Younglove, first Speaker of the Assembly and guest of the home's previous owner; let the energy of the Library fill your soul.
Easy Access From Troy, Albany and Saratoga. Oakcliff is situated about a mile off of exit 8 of the Northway I87. Saratoga Springs and the Racetrack is only 22 minutes away. We are also less then an hours drive to Lake George, Williamstown and Bennington Vermont. We are the prefect location when driving North From NJ or PA or from Montreal. Albany International Airport is only 11 minutes away. We are located minutes off the Northway I87 at exit 8. The inn is 11 minutes from Albany County International Airport. Frequently visited places are Troy 12min, Albany 26min, Saratoga, Race Track 22min, Montreal 3hrs 23min, Williamstown Mass 53min, Manchester Vt 1hr 15min, and Lake George 45min. After a spectacular breakfast, head to a number of regional destinations: Saratoga Springs for shopping or a fabulous dinner and night out on the town.
