Our vacation home is near the heart of the Texas Hill Country at Canyon Lake. This is a magical place with wide open skies, rivers, and of course next to our property line the deep blue waters of Canyon Lake. The rental unit is the entire top floor of a duplex. We stay downstairs when we visit the lake. Most of the time our guests will have the entire property to themselves. Deer walk across our property and look in the windows each morning and again near sunsets which are as majestic as they are bright with color. Nearby are four rivers each with its own story to tell. Tubing is free and only minutes from our driveway. There are TWO free boat ramps within one mile of our driveway each with plenty of free parking. There is even a floating docks where passengers can pull up and get on and off your water toys with ease. There are decks on two levels each with a commanding view. There is plenty of room to sit and visit on the lower deck alone there are three tables and chairs for 16 plus a built in bench for three and a glider for two. The deck has a fire pit and a gas BBQ grill for your use. Other tables and chairs are available as is a two person hammock

We are Karen and Ross, 70 years young, with three grown children and three grandchildren who live about 30 miles from this vacation home. We are traveling the world and most of the USA and have stayed in five star hotels, resorts and some dives. We have been hosting since July of 2018 and are committed to providing the very best experience we can to those who take the time to visit central Texas. Our goal is to have only Happy Guests and we will do whatever we can to insure all of our guests have an exceptional experience. Life is better at the lake and we hope to prove that to anyone who comes to visit. We do our best to stay in touch and provide as much local information as we can while giving our guest their personal space. Our goal is and always has been to have only Happy Guests!

The house is in a private area and ours is only one of four houses on the street. No one lives on one side of us and looking across the Hill Country you can see a few neighbor's houses about 3/4 mile away. There are local restaurants and shops and most evening there is free indoor and outdoor entertainment at most eateries. San Antonio is 30 miles to the South. Austin is 40 miles North and the lake is fifty yards from my backyard. It is a place where people treat you with respect, always wave when they pass by and most people do not feel a need to lock their cars at night and many a door might be the same. Medical, fire and police services are five minutes away Nearby towns are Wimberley, Blanco, Gruene, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Dripping Springs, Spring Branch, Sisterdale, Borene and others all of them are only a short drive through some of the most beautiful landscapes you have ever seen. In the morning you can sip coffee and experience a fantastic sunrise and near dusk you can watch the sky light up as the sun sets over the lake from Overlook park at the dam. Within an hour's drive there are more than 40 wineries.
