Hi and welcome to our cabin! We hope your stay in our guest house is enjoyable whether you came to cook in the kitchen, enjoy our open garage setup in the kitchen area, BBQ, watch the most beautiful sunsets from the hot tub, relax in the pool (seasonal), stargaze into hillcountry night skies without city lights or noise, read in a hammock, roast marshmallows by the fire, play indoor/outdoor games, basketball, cornhole, giant connect 4, washer toss or yoga on the patio. We truly have it all. Please note we are in a cove of Medina Lake which may be 40ft deep here at the house or 100% dry. Please check prior to your booking! I live on the property in a separate house but provide privacy to my guests unless you have questions or should need anything I'm just a phone call away.

Hi my name is Mel and I am a huge nature lover. I moved to the hillcountry with my children a few years ago then built the cabin as a way to share this beautiful space with others. I'm a pediatric nurse and love working with children. I enjoy building things, camping, hiking and being in the water.

The cabin is located in a very rural area with vast views of the Texas Hillcountry. You will be surrounded by trees and sounds of nature. It's about a 15 minute winding nature drive into town where you can find a dollar general, small local grocery store, a few quaint eateries with great home cooking or gourmet coffees, gas station, a marina to launch fishing boats or kayaks with rentals and a cafe available and the four way bar and grill with a live music venue. A little further into Bandera you will find the cowboy capital of the world! With many dude ranches, rodeos, live music, wineries, trail rides and museums. Bandera's main street comes alive with nightly music, especially honky-tonks like the 11th street cowboy bar and Arkey Blue's Silver Dollar. Saturdays are particularly lively with Bandera Company Gunfighters. Check out Bandera Brewery for a family friendly eatery with live music and natural outdoor ambiance or the Ace Wine Room for a welcoming space with live music for friends and family. Both spots are Veteran owned!
