Property only available to book from FRIDAY to FRIDAY, 7 night minimum stay. This 650 sqft tinyish home was originally built in 1896 and is located in the Village of Center, on the quiet side of MDI. It has gone through a few renovations since then, but still maintains it’s quaintness. Three miles from the ocean and a 1/4 mile from Long Pond Fire Road (a part of Acadia National Park with lots of mountains/trails to hike), this wee home offers you a place to rest, relax and enjoy the beauty that MDI has to offer.
Originally born in Ireland, this Galway girl has made MDI her home for the past 31 years. I will be living on the property, so I hope to be available as much (or as little) as I am needed. I want your stay here to be a wonderful experience, so please feel free to ask for advise to navigate where to go and what to see. I work for a local hospital, but will try to be as accessible as possible via text or call.
The cottage is a short walk to a part of Acadia that is still quiet, peaceful and vey beautiful. You can hike, swim, kayak or paddle board from Long Pond Fire Road. It’s like your own private part of the National Park.
