We bought the Martindale Motor Company building in which the Western 1924 Luxury Lofts are located in 2019. Since then, we have transformed the building from a near ruin condemned to be leveled to a faithful restoration of a 1924 Hupmobile dealership that is both a recorded Texas Historic Landmark and on the US Parks Service Register of Historic Places. We are located in the heart of the Central Martindale Historic district. Our team loves introducing our guests to our charming and well preserved authentic Texas small town. The Western 1924 Luxury Lofts are located on the second floor of the newly restored Martindale Motor Company Building, which is a Texas Designated Historic Landmark and on the Register of Historic Places. Opened in 1924 as a Hupmobile dealership, the first floor is occupied by Duetts Texas Club, which offers drinks, dining and live music. Our building also served as the home for the Telephone Company, the Post Office, as well the Masonic Lodge. Our lofts are two to three times the size of an average hotel room ranging from six hundred (600) to one thousand (1000) square feet each. Each apartment offers a full kitchen, living room, natural stone countertops and a full size washer/dryer. We are steps away from the San Marcos River and there is free river access at the City park that is nearby. Martindale is a charming and well preserved authentic Texas small town, located 45 minutes from Austin and 15 minutes from San Marcos or Lockhart.
