Please note: swimming isn’t recommended, and guests assume responsibility for their own safety. River levels can vary, making some banks steep, but the nearby boat dock offers easy fishing access, and kayak or boat rentals are close by. Lake Norfork is about 25 miles north of Calico Rock, while Mountain View — the Folk Music Capital of the World — lies to the south with Blanchard Springs Caverns and the Ozark Folk Center. I’m a world traveler and a fisherman at heart. I speak English and Spanish and grew up in Costa Rica from ages 5 to 17 before finishing school in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Later, I worked in the Philippines with my father’s business partner and eventually started a company with my brothers.
