Hanoi is a busy, bustling city with historical charm. old Quarter is unparrelleled for shopping, frenetic pace, and interesting sites. Many tours available for outside the city. Easy to get around in using Grab taxies and motorcycles. Very inexpensive if you eat and shop in old quarters. I routinely paid 5-10 dollars for great meals for 2 people. World class massages for 20-30 dollars.

We stayed in the Old Quarter which was central to all of the sites that we wanted to visit. From our hotel it was easy walking to the Opera House, HCM Memorial, Woman’s Museum (a must see) and the lake. Our hotel was central to great restaurants, cafe and shopping galore! Each street in our district had something different to explore.

Hustle and bustle to the extreme
Go o the open top bus before sight seeing then you can decide what you want to go back too
Was disappointed with the restaurant situation expected to find more than street food although this was ok.
Great city for shopping.

Yes, it is crazy, traffic everywhere and noisy but is a vibrant real place. Just walk around and soak up the atmosphere.
The street food is amazing. We hired a guide who took us on a foodie mecca tour! Learned so much.
Walk around the lake at night over the weekend, music, family fun laughing and dancing. Great atmosphere.
Just walking round the old quarter over the weekend, dodging scooters, stopping for a local beer and people watching.
The sight seeing double decker bus is great...hop on and off . Leaves from lake, old quarter end. Make sure to use the headsets provided for commentary. Massages, so good.
Weekends are party central but try to arrive early as traffic gets manic with so many roads closed.

a lot of places to eat, everything is open until late at night. A lot of people, the Old Quarter is full of tourists in the evenings, there is also something to do during the day. Bargain - in the market 6 bananas for 10k, but on the street I was offered 1 for 10k

Love the food, culture, history and overall feel of the city. Great architecture and a lot of places that are green and open, not in the new developments.
Loved the old town for shopping in the little stores, street attractions, footstools for sitting while enjoying a juice or beer, great way to meet people from everywhere.
Not designed for tourism such as places like Thailand or Cambodia. Visiting Ho Chi Min mausoleum is a farce, very poor organization for entry and scammers selling scarves for profit if arms are uncovered. Could rent them like they do in Bali at temples.
Would visit again but not much to see after two days. Usual malls, cafes, bars, hotels, etc.
The morning breakfast was superb! I had the luxury of tasting all the seven Vietnamese specialties on the menu - one different specialties for each different day together with a set of American breakfast.
The location of the hotel itself at the heart of the Old Quarter afforded me the advantage of easy access to the vibrant activities of the neighbourhood.
The hotel staffs were very friendly and always ready to serve and answer any query to the best of their ability. This gave me the assurance that I would be well taken care of.
Great place to stay in Hanoi's old quarter which seems to has been renovated just recently.. Room was nice and spacious incl all amenities. Staff was very kind and caring and they'd go above and beyond for customers satisfaction. One could see that COVID hit the Vietnamese tourism industry hard and now there's big competition. Anyway, can recommend the hotel unconditionally and wish them and their staff the best of luck. PS: Breakfast is a plus (Continental and Asian breakfast)
Staff was extremely nice and caring, very welcoming. Location is in the city center, can't be any more comfortable location in an old quarter.
Breakfast choice wide for European food and Asian food - actually one of the best breakfast we had in Hanoi hotels.
Also, we got a present from the staff before leaving - a Vietnamese coffee filter - we really were looking to buy one cause we loved that type of coffee and we got it as a present - that's lovely;)
Amazing facilities. This place is spotless and seems very new. It has a golf simulator, spa, excellent included breakfast and very attentive staff. Although the location sits about 25-30 minutes out from the Old Quarter and downtown, it's well worth taking a Grab which is comfy (AC) and very inexpensive. This facility was by far the best out of all the 5 star hotels we stayed at during our trip across Asia. When I visit Hanoi again, I will stay at here.
Winter Hotel is the perfect place to stay in Hanoi. Located in the Old Quarter but not in the backpacker district allows the best of both worlds: Nice quiet sleeping hours AND lots of amazing authentic restaurants within a 2 minute walk out the door. The breakfast every day is delicious. The staff is so friendly and helpful, they arranged motorbike rental and cabs for us whenever we needed! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Hanoi
Hotel is in excellent location 3 mins walk to sword lake. Lots of eateries places and coffee shops nearby. Breakfast buffet is very good lots of choices. Staff are very helpful and very friendly. Room size is a little bit small. This is what you would expect in old quarters location.. Banh Mi Long Hoi (Hoi An Banh mi) is just a cross the road from the hotel which has the best baguette . Would stay again next time if we go back to Hanoi.
This hotel is located just south of Hanoi's famous Old Quarter - in walking distance of it. We were upgraded to a huge room with 2 bedrooms, a sitting room, and a large bathroom. The room was quiet, cool, and had comfortable beds. The staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good, with great variety and a chef to make egg selections. The elevator doors are painted with Vietnamese scenes and each floor has cool artwork.
The location is the best aspect of this hotel, and for that price, is just excellent. Right in the heart of the old quarter, just a block away from the lake and some of the best food spots in Hanoi. Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly, wanting to go above and beyond for us to have a great experience. They are as lovely as they come. The room is comfortable enough for a sleep and take a shower, so the price was fine.
Fantastic, ultra modern hotel, representing amazing value for money. The décor is lovely and it is one of the best hotels I stayed at in Vietnam. Feels like a 5 star hotel- you get slippers and a bath robe, which is a nice touch. The breakfast was good and there is a nice bar on the top floor. The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. Location wise, it's right near the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem lake.
Staff very friendly and helpful, Lucy on reception on our first night was delightful. Situated in the Old Quarter it is really centrally located. We stayed for our first two nights in Vietnam, hotel arranged our pick up from the airport. We left for Ninh Binh and were able to leave our extra luggage on return to Hanoi we stayed a further night at this hotel.
When returning to Hanoi, I always stay at this hotel.Love the location, just off from the lake in the old quarters.places of interest in walking distance.good value for money .Probably the best breakfast I’ve had in Vietnam. Also the beds are so comfortable. And thank you to all the lovely staff and management for your help. hopefully I’ll see you soon.
The location is superb - right in the heart of the Old Quarter and walking distance to the French Quarter. The staff are really nice and helpful too. The beds are comfy and the air-conditioning works well but the only downside is the small size of the rooms. This is typical of Hanoi in this area so the hotel can’t really be faulted for that.
New, cozy hotel in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter. I was on the 7th floor with a very nice view, and seeing everything up high was easy. Breakfast on the 9th floor has a very chill outside . The sunlight is so beautiful. Yogurt is the dish that impressed me the most. Staff are very kind. Ms My does the best of all.
"We stayed in Luxury Old Quarter Hotel in Hanoi in July 2022. It is conveniently located in a central place near the lakes& cathedral in the old quarters . The makers & street food are near to it . Best part is the staff upgraded our room to Deluxe . Very friendly & helpful staff & services"
Victor metropolis hotel & rooftop bar is one of best luxury hotel in Hanoi old quarter with beautiful designed. Our room was large, very clean, new and great facilities. Their staffs was friendly - polite - nice person. We have great buffet breakfast too. We loved this hotel.
Friendly staffs, nice atmosphere, great service. Breakfast is variety of options for food. Rooms are modern and clean.
The hotel is located in the center between Hanoi old quarters and French quarter.
A little noises from the street but it is not a big problem.
Wow best hotel stay in whole of Vietnam, can’t fault anything the staff the room the breakfast the location all perfect, highly Recommend staying here if in Hanoi. It’s in within walking distance of lots of food places and about 15 min to the old quarter.
Beautiful hotel located in Hanoi's old quarter, the staff is friendly, professional and willing go help with anything!! The breakfast was amazing with a selection of Vietnamese and international food.
