Umdloti (close to Umchlanga and Durban) is a secluded, beautiful coastal town, with pristine beaches. It has blue diamond status as beach, as well as a huge tidal pool, the spectacular Indian ocean, some nice restaurants, petrol station and many walks around the town. Dolphins are seen regularly, and it is a prime destination for surfers.
