Enjoy the charm of our farm kitchen, shady wrap-around veranda, library, and our swimming pool and our unparalleled views. Stay in our comfortable farmhouse. Book a guided wine and olive tasting tour. Go slowly, relax next to the pool or in the garden. Our garden has heaps of sun and a large swimming pool, but also beautiful shady areas for relaxing. Browse through our library of travel books and maps. Enjoy the birds, take a sip, swim, or read as you admire the spectacular winelands view. Love yourself, enjoy Abbotts Hill. Our house is yours.

Jim manages Abbotts Hill in the Swartland. He provides private guided tours of the Cape Winelands and West Coast. He is also a certified Tourist Guide who provides private Wine, Culture, History and Nature tours. He speaks English and Swedish, is a Cape Wine Academy graduate, garagiste winemaker (Hunneyball Wines in Platters) and member of the South African Sommeliers Association with great interest in sharing his knowledge of all aspects of wine enjoyment and production. You can ask him what you like. His free time you can look for him in remote places or under water

We can assist you with wine tasting tours and other tours in Swedish or English with a certified tour guide. Even non-birders will be amazed by our array of birds. We have identified over 70 bird species on the farm. If you enjoy horse riding, our neighbour offers horses for advanced-level outrides at affordable rates. We are well placed for day trips to Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Tulbagh and Cape Town, each is 50 minutes away and the West Coast National Park with its azure lagoon and white sandy beaches is just 45 minutes. !Khwa ttu, the San Heritage Centre is 40 minutes away and is worth visiting. Riebeeck-Kasteel is only 20 minutes’ drive and is worth visiting for its dining. All these trips mean passing through magical countryside.
